Number One Yonkees started making music in 2007. Emma (20 years old by then) and Shaggy (2 years older than Emma) had lived together for 1 year when music started to result as a combination of Emma’s writings and hummings on Shaggy’s riffs. They had being trying to fit in several office jobs, but this never made them feel good with themselves and they failed to be enthusiastic and truly committed. During the recording of Divinourm, they grew more and more interested in the connection between dream world and “reality”, the paradigms of existence, the study of several sacred plants and other ancient and modern mysteries that failed to fit in the standards of the western culture
